Lay down your fears and insecurities.

For a while I’ve wished I were the old Val. After having my first child, my world changed. Sometimes I long for the girl I was before this season – someone who was considered wise and on fire for Jesus, always online to encourage, in the Word for hours each day. These days, my time, attention, and responsibilities look different. My time in the Word is minutes. My writing is occasional. My routine is tiresome. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the way things were.

I have found more beauty in the in-between moments that weren’t filled with scrolling,

Nothing fancy today but here are some recent pics of my family whom I love with my whole heart. I rarely share much of my personal life on here so I don’t blame you if you had no idea they exist 😂 Hope to be better about that this year!
